DESCRIPTION

This is a composite battery charger with battery check circuit which provides sinewave output for charging and also provides automatic selection for trickle / boost charging. The unit boost charges the battery

up to the boost charging voltage as given below and then automatically switches to trickle charging and when battery voltage falls below the trickle charging voltage it reverts back to boost charging. The unit provides protection against reverse battery connection as the battery does not get connected to the charging circuit and hooter alarm with LED indication gets on. In case a dead battery is connected, it does not get connected to the carging circuit internally and battery connection 'OK' LED indicator does not get ON. Four LED's are provided on top of the unit to indicate, Boost & trickle battery charging and 'OK & Reverse' battery connection.
