BATTERY CHARGER RELAY

 

DESCRIPTION

This is an electronic unit, consisting of latest and reliable devices. This is totally solid-state having an electromagnetic relay as output for customer usage. This is used to sense the battery voltage and accordingly change the tapping of the battery charger transformer for either boost charging or trickle charging.

FOR 12V BATTERY :

Relay energises when battery voltage goes above 13.8 volts and de-energises when it goes below 12.6 volts.

FOR 24V BATTERY :

Relay energises when battery voltage goes above 27.6 volts and de-energises when it goes below 25.2 volts.

CONNECTION :

The relay contacts should be used on the A.C. circuit of the battery charger and boost voltage should be connected on N.C. Contact and trickle voltage on N.O. contact of the relay.

 

RELAY CONTACT RATING  :

5 Amp resisting load for 2 change over contacts and 10 Amp. resistive load for 1 charge-over contact.
